Southern areas will remain fairly mild with patchy rain in the morning easing by the late-morning.

THURSDAY will be cloudy across all parts of Britain with showers in the northern regions.

Cloudy weather will continue into Friday, with rain hitting central regions in England.

Wet and windy conditions are expected on Saturday across England and Wales, with showers in the north.

UK outlook for Sunday 7 October to Wednesday 31 October 2018

THE Sunday will see any lasting outbreaks of rain and strong winds in south east England disappear as other parts of the country will have a fine and sunny day.

The rest of the week is generally unsettled with spells of wet and windy weather across north and west parts of Britain.

Unsettled conditions continue into the second week of October with gales possible at times, especially in the north west.

More settled weather and high pressure could re-establish across southern regions with cold temperatures at night more likely.
