JEDDAH: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday reached Saudi Arabia on two-day visit.
According to Radio Pakistan, Ijaz Raja, Pakistani ambassador to Saudi Arabia and officials of Saudi Cultural Ministry welcomed the minister upon his arrival.
Fawad Chaudhry is visiting Saudi Arabia on special invitation of Saudi Culture Minister, Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan Al-Saud.
Chaudhry is scheduled to have different meetings with Saudi leadership during his two days visit to the Kingdom.
In September, last year, Fawad Chaudhry met his Saudi counterpart, Dr Awad al Awwad in Jeddah and discussed matters of bilateral interest.
During the meeting, the Minister had expressed gratitude to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Saudi authorities for giving them a warm hospitality.
The Saudi minister had showed interest in screening Pakistani TV dramas on Saudi channels, according to the report.

The Saudi Minister for Information Dr Awwad said there is a huge potential for media cooperation between the two countries and both the countries needed to take advantage of that opportunity.
Both the leaders also agreed on a joint media strategy to combat extremism.
Fawad Chaudhry said both the countries enjoyed very strong and fraternal relations which are poised to grow with time.
