LAHORE: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will be shifted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital for treatment today, ARY News reported.
A seven-member medical team will evaluate the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader’s health and conduct his medical tests.
All arrangements have been finalised at the hospital with a dedicated ward where Sharif will undergo treatment. No unauthorised person will be allowed to enter the ward.
Nawaz was released from the Kot Lakhpat Jail on Tuesday after the Supreme Court granted him bail for six weeks to obtain medical treatment. He reached his home in Jati Umra late Tuesday night to a warm welcome by his family members, including his mother, daughter Maryam, and brother Shehbaz Sharif.

A three-judge bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa granted the former premier bail for six weeks on medical grounds. The court ruled that Nawaz will not be allowed to leave the country for treatment and directed him to submit two bail bonds amounting to Rs10 million.
